Occupation |
school teacher in High Point and in Wilkesboro. [2] |
- She was very strict and never let any of her students use an eraser. All mistakes stood as printed, and the student would have to start completely over.
When she was a young girl, she had scarlet fever and all her hair fell out. When it grew out, it was fine, so she had to get it rolled at the beauty parlor.
Pearl was the best seamstress in the family, and spent her summers making clothes for all of her many siblings.
