- Mrs. C. Ross Rich dies after lengthy illness
Mrs. Orion McLellan Rich (Mrs. C. Ross Rich) died November 28 in the Hall County Hospital in Gainesville, Georgia. She is survived by her husband, Charles Ross Rich, two sons, Donald E. Rich of Gainesville, Ga. and Charles Ross Rich, Jr. of Chicago, Ill. and three grandchildren.
Born in Bainbridge on July 15, 1899, Mrs. Rich lived her entire life in Decatur County. She was a member of the First Baptist Church where she taught the Ruth Botts Sunday School Class for ten years.
Funeral services were held Friday, December 1 at the First Baptist Church. Dr. James T. Burrell and Dr. Charles Bishop were the officiating ministers. Active pallbearers were: Jim Partee, Bill Searcy, Harold Lambert Edward Holder, Lawrence Renfroe and Ghent McLellan. Honorary pallbearers were: Clarke Gurley, Branson Harrison, Norwood Belcher, E. J. Willis, Joe Grollman, Harry Burke, Walter Floyd, Jeff Holder, Raleigh Rollins, Tommy Jester, T. Gordon Jester.
Interment was in Oak City Cemetery with Cox Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.
