- "Mrs Kiernan Wed in Warwick...The wedding of Miss Marion Claire Nestor, daughter of Mrs. William C. Nestor, of 1750 North Troy avenue, Arlington, Va., and the late William C. Nestor, to David John Kiernan, son of Mr. and Mrs. John F. Kiernan, of 410 Woodstock avenue, Stratford, Conn., took place Saturday in St. John's Church, Warwick, N.Y., at a nuptial mass. The Right Rev. Msgr. Joseph Grundner, officiated at the mass, and performed the ceremony. A reception for 100 guests was held at the Eureka House, Goshen, N. Y.
The bride, given in marriage by her brother, Robert C. Nestor, was attended by Miss Antonette Mann, of Warwick, N. Y., as maid-of-honor, and bridesmaids included Miss Lucy Censoprano, of Ridgewood, L. I., and Miss Dorthea Lindemann, of Flushing, L. I.
Dr. James Mooney, of Bridgeport, Conn., was best man for the bridegroom, whose ushers were Dr. Lawrence Smith, of Watertown, N. Y., Dr. Allen Morrissey, of Stratford, Conn., and Louis Bailey, also of Stratford.
The bride appeared in a gown of white nylon tulle, designed pricess style with bouffant skirt, short sleeves and portrait necklin. Her three-tiered figer tip veil was arranged from a juliet cap. The bride, who graduated from Washington Lee High School, Arlington, is also a graduate of Flower and Fifth Avenue, Hospital School of Nursing, New York City. Dr. Kiernan was graduated from Fairfield Preparatory School, College of the Holy Cross and New York Medical College. He will start his internship at Bridgeport Hospital on July 1.
After a wedding trip to Cape Cod, the couple will reside in Bridgeport, Conn."
