- State of Georgia, Decatur County, October the 21st 1851. J. John Harrell lives in the said county in the name of God and being infirm in body though of sound mind and memory do make and ordain this my last will and testament viz
1st I desire that as ??of my perishable estate be sold as will pay all of my just debts if any.
2nd I give and bequeath to my daughter Pam Dollar and my sons Elisha Harrell, Conrad Harrell, Josiah Harrell, and my daughter Nelly Smith the sum of eighty dollars each in cash or cattle as they choose the said sum to belong to their children after my death.
3rd I bequeath and give to my son John Harrell the sum of eighty dollars in cash or cattle as he chooses.
4th I give and bequeath to my son William M. Harrell the sum of one thousand dollars in cash or cattle as he may choose.
5th I give and bequeath to my daughter Maryann Rachel Harrell the sum of one hundred and fifty dollars in cash or cattle as she may choose.
6th I give and bequeath to my beloved wife Anna the sum of five hundred dollars in cash or cattle as she may choose which is to be her property during her lifetime or widowhood then to belong to William M. Harrell as his property and then at the death of the said William M. Harrell his whole estate to go to his heirs.
I also desire that all of the balance of my perishable estate household and kitchen furniture to be sold on a credit of 6 months immediately after my death and I also desire that my heirs should equally divide the proceeds of said sale among themselves. I do appoint and ordain my two sons Josiah and Conrad Harrell my lawful executors. I put special confidence in the judgment and integrity of my executors. I desire that they dispense with making returns as required by law. I give my executors power to manage for the minor heirs to the best advantage and interest of said heirs. I also make this my last will and testament hereby revoking all former wills made by me in Witness. I have here unto set my hand and seal the day and year above written.

- On the application of Josiah Harrell of said County for letters
of Administration on the Real Estate of John Harrell Sr (of the
16th) late of said county Deceased the same not being disposed
of in the will of the said John Harrell, It appearing to the
court that the usual citation has been published in term of
the law and no objection being made; It is ordered that the
said Josiah Harrell, he having given Bond in the sum of fif=
=teen Hundred Dollars with Benjamin G. Powell and Daniel Bel=
=cher of said county as securities & otherwise qualifying in term of
the law, be & he is hereby appointed administrator on said estate,
and that letters of administration issue accordingly.-

Decatur County that we Josiah Harrell Principal & B. F.
Powell & Green B. Moore securities
are held & firmly bound unto Joseph Law the Ordinary
for said County and his successors in office in the
just and full sum of fifteen hundred Dollars
for the payment of which sum to the said Or=
=dinary and his successors in office, we find ourselves
our heirs, Executors and Administrators, in the whole
and for the whole sum jointly and severally and
firmly by these presents, sealed with our seals, and dated
this 6th March 1852. The condition of the above
obligation is such, that if the above bound ----- ---
Josiah Harrell admin.. on the real Est. of John Harrell
late of said County, deceased, which have or shall come
into the hands, possession or knowledge of the said
Josiah Harrell, or the hands or possession of any
person or persons for him and the same so made
do exhibit unto the said Inferior Court, when sitting
as a court of Ordinary when he shall be thereunto
required; and such real Estate do well and truly
administer according to law, and do make a
just and true account of his actings and doings
therein, when he shall be thereunto be required
by the court; Shall deliver and pay to such per=
=son or persons respectively as they may be entitled
to the sum by law; And if it shall hereafter
appear that any last Will and Testament disposing
of said real Estate was made by the deceased, and
the same be proven before the said court, and
Executor obtain a certificate of the probate thereof
and in such case, if required, render and deliver us
the said letters of Administration, then this ob=
=ligation to be void else to remain in full force
