"MRS. WILLIAM C. NESTOR
Franklin Funeral services for Mrs. Fannie O. Nestor, widow of William C. Nestor, former personnel superintendent of New Jersey Zinc Company, were held yesterday (Wednesday) at 9 a.m. from the F. John Ramsey Funeral Home, 1 Main street, to St. Thomas' Church, Ogdensburg, for requiem mass at 9:30. Interment was in St. Thomas' Cemetery.
Mrs. Nestor, who was 74, had been making her home with her son, Joseph E. in Arlington, Va., at the time of her death. She died Sunday at the Arlington Hospital after a long illness.
Mrs. Nestor was born in Sweet Valley, Pa., and had worked for about two years in the Franklin school system while making her home in Franklin prior to her marriage. She lived in Newton for eight of the nine years in which she was employed as an investigator for both the Sussex County Welfare Board and the New Jersey State Division of the Aging.
Besides her son, Joseph, she is survived by four other sons, Dr. John O., of Arlington, Edwin F., of Franklin, Paul, of Washington, D.C., and Edward, of Vienna, Va.; three daughters, Mrs. Caroline Jonson and Mrs. Eilleen Gardner, both of Menlo Park, Calif., and Clare Hoad, of Long Island, N.Y.; one sister, Miss Mary Oliver, of New York City; 18 grandchildren and four great-grandchildren." |
