      Decatur County County being of advanced age and knowing that I must shortly depart this life deem it right & proper both in respects myself & my family that I should make disposition of the property with which a kind providence has blessed me - do therefore make this my lst will & Testament hereby revoking all others heretofore made by me-

      Item 1st I give & bequeath to my daughter Sarah Harrell Six Negroes May a woman about Twenty Five years old and her children Dennis a boy and Augustus a boy & Isaac a boy and Betsy a woman about Twenty One years of age & Tice a boy about Twenty years of age. The Negroes with increase to her & the heirs of her body forever for their sole use thereof it free from the control debts incumbrances of her husband.

      Item 2d I give and bequeath & devise to my son John Brock One hundred Acres of Land of Lot No 60 in the Sixteenth District and one hundred and twenty five acres of lot No 61 in the Sixteenth Dist both tracts in Decatur County also Two negro woman Alla a woman about 18 years of age and One mare horse fifteen years old and her Colt about Two years old name Frolick - all for his own use & benefit & their increases-

      Item 3d I give & bequeath to my daughter Mary Bell four negroes, Viney about Thirty Two years old and Antinet, about Twenty six years old both women - & Fillis about Two years old a girl & Martha Jane ten years old & Eight Hundred dollars & their increase and to her & the heirs of her body forever for their sole use & benefit free from the controll debts & incumbrances of her husband-

      Item 4th I give & bequeath to my daughter Elizabeth Harrell negro woman named Nancy about thirty four years old and Ned a boy about sixteen years old one Negro girl Caroline about fourteen years old Henry a boy twelve years old Charles a boy ten years old. Said Negroes with increase to her & the heirs of her body forever for their sole use & benefit free from the control debts & incumbrances of her husband-

      Item 5 I give & bequeath to my daughter Nancy Swicord- Jack a man about thirty four years old & a negro woman Sally about forty five years old & Lucinda a woman twenty four years old & Julia-ann about eight years old & Louisa about five years old & Francis Marion a boy one year old Said negroes with increase to her & the heirs of her body forever for their sole use & benefit free from the control debts & incumbrances of her husband-

      Item 6th I give & bequeath to my grand children Jane Parker & Lutitia Parker the sum of Three Thousand Dollars to be raised by my effects- and in case one of the children should die the whol to go to the other- the said money to go to children & the heirs of their body

      Item 7th The residue of my property I appoint to be sold by my executor in Twelve months time and the proceeds of that sale to be collected & after paying Three thousand dollars to be paid to the Guardian of Jane Parker & Lutitia Parker the balance to be equally divided with the exception Elizabeth Harrell the heirs of my body-

      Item 8th I do hereby constitute & appoint my son John Brock Executor of this my last Will and Testament

Law Ordinary of said Court in open court & at the regular term thereof came John Brock the executor of the last will & Testament of Martha Brock late of said County Decd & produces before me the said last will &Testament for probate record of the same & hings Thomas Mashburn, Bud C. Thomas & Henry H. Mashburn the subscribing witnesses to the same who the witnesses aforesaid being sworn say that they saw Martha Brock the testatrix sign, seal, declare & publish the written instrument the same men presented as her last will & Testament freely voluntarily & of her own accord & without any compulsion or influence whatever- that at the time of the execution of said will said Testatrix was of sound disposing mind & memory that deponents signed said will as witnesses in the presence of this testatrix & at her special instance & request & in the presence of each other- Bud C Thomas

      These are to authorize and empower you or any three of you to make a just and true appraisement of all and singular the goods and chattels (ready money only excepted) of Martha Brock - late of said County, deceased in dollars and cents, as shall be produced to you by John Brock, Executor of the last will and testament of said Martha Brock, deceased.

      You and each of you first taking the oath required by Law, before some Justice of the Peace for said County, and that you will return the same, certified under hands, and also a certificate of your having taken the oath thereto annexed unto the said John Brock within the time prescribed by Law.

      Witness the Hon. J. Law Ordinary of said Court this the 14th day of January 1856.

      Inventory and schedule of the unappraised property of the est. of Martha Brock late of said county deceased.

      Given off according to the tenor of the last will and testament of Martha Brock deceased as follows to wit. to Sarah Harrell six negroes, namely Mary, Denis, Augustus, Isaac, Betsy, Tice.
      To Elizabeth Harrell, Nancy, Caroline, Ned, Henry, and Charles.
      To Nancy Swicord, Jack, Sally, Lucindy, Judy, Louisa & Merican
      To Wm B. Bell * Larkin Bell, guardian for Jno. L. Bell & Martha K. Bell - Viney, Jane, Elephare, Antonelle, Fitts, Harriett, for which I have receipts.

      Property retained by myself and heir to the above estate according to the will as afforesaid one hundred acres of land, lot no. 60 in 16th District of Decatur County Ga. One hundred and twenty five acres of lot no. 61 in same district & county, negro property, names as follows: Ally, Mary, Elizabeth, Edward, Malica and three head of horses.
