    • Wm. Wall, as agent for Jesse Wall, listed 500 acres of pine land in Terrell County.
Died  19 Jul 1864  , , Terrell County, Georgia, USA Find all individuals with events at this location  [2
Cause: possibly malaria, indicated by the medications taken as listed in the probate papers
    • Jesse Wall died some time between 31 Aug 1863 (the date of his will) and 17 Sep 1864 (the date of the inventory of Jesse's estate where he was definitively listed as "deceased"). His probate file contains several expense vouchers related to medical visits. Such entries are described as "5 miles visit" and "visit to self." The latter description seems to indicate that Jesse is one of the people who had a visit. Visits were also made for the treatment of slaves. The dates of the medical treatments began 1 Sep 1863 and continued through 19 Jul 1864.

The last time a "visit to self" was listed was 19 Jul 1864. Also, an expense voucher for Jesse's son, Cain Wall, in the probate file showed expenses for Cain "attending to business of plantation from 19th July to Dec 1st." This statement was sworn to on 2 May 1865, and would seem to indicate Jesse may have died on or about July 19th 1864.

    Notes
    • Jesse's place of birth is listed as Maryland in both the 1850 and 1860 censuses, and is also listed as the "birthplace of the father" for all his children who lived until the 1880 census was taken.

Therefore, it is likely that he was enumerated as a male in one one the households below.
      1790 Maryland heads of household:

males >16, males <16, females, slaves

John Wall, Baltimore, Baltimore County, MD (p. 12: 2,1,1,0,0)
John Wall, Baltimore, Baltimore County, MD (p. 22: 1,0,3,0,0) - no males under 16

Ezekial Wall, Dorchester County, MD (p. 458: 1,2,4,0,0)
Rody Wall, Dorchester County, MD (p. 444: 0,0,4,0,0) - no males under 16
William Wall, Dorchester County, MD (p. 458: 1,4,2,0,0)

      George Wall, Prince George's County, MD (p. 323: 1,1,3,1,1)
      Thomas Wall, Prince George's County, MD (p. 322: 1,2,3,0,4)
