Hi fellow Cousins, I am William Rich of Warner Robins Ga. I have been
a member of Rich Roots list for over a year now and witnessed its
growth. I completed 11 years in the U.S. Navy on July 08, 1998. I
came home to Ga and enrolled into college to take advantage of my GI
Bill before Congress adds it to the list of VA Benefits to get rid of.
I plan to start a new career in Information Technology majoring in
Networking and Communications. I research our family history in Memory
of the Greatest Women of my Life, My Grandmother Hilda ?Spell? Rich who
died in May of 1997. Enduring a Tragic life she constantly blessed her
children and Grandchildren with her unconditional love. Granny you will
never be forgotten. Love Billy

Hi Cousins, I trying to find out any info on this line of Riches. It
is possible that William Martin Rich came to Maine from England and
moved south to NC and then to Georgia. It has been passed down in our
line that our Riches came from England to Maine through North Carolina
to Georgia however I have not been able to prove any of that and
actually I was searching up another line of Riches for answers that has
not yet yielded any results. A second cousin sent me this info that was
composed by a Great Great Uncles Family:
William Martin Rich b 12 may 1782 Phillack, Cornwall, England d Elbert,
GA
Amy Folfinghome b 1786 Phillack, Cornwall, England
John Rich b 4 May 1751

John Rich b abt 1690 d 23 April 1757 m abt 1718

Thanks for your help

was found in, "The Douglas Register". The Douglas Register is a detailed
record of Births, Marriages and Deaths kept by the Rev. William Douglas,
From 1750 to 1797. However there are some earlier dates that family members
give him to document. The Reverend William Douglas came to St. James Northam
Parish, in Goochland County Va. (Dover Church), on 12th of October 1750.
A Memorandum in the Register shows that he had charge of St. James Parish
for Twenty-seven years; Maniken Town (King William Parish), for nineteen
years, and ministered a charge in Buckingham County for four years. The
Register contains a record of Births, Christenings, Marriages, Deaths and
Funerals in St. James Northam Parish and the County of Goochland co.
