Notes |
- (Research):A Revolutionary War Veteran, John moved from North Carolina to Pulaski County, Georgia, then to Decatur County in 1821. He and Sarah settled 11 miles southeast of Bainbridge, then a mere trading post known as Ft. Hughes.
John was an industrious planter, accumulating large acreage in the county; and after the war released 250 Negros.
